For those who followed my blog over the years you may have noticed how few and far between my posts are these days. That is primarily because I am lapping up the experience of being a new mother. I love it. I don’t want to miss anything.
I feel the days flying by and I want to invest my time in pursuits that will make a big difference over the long haul. That isn’t to say I don’t waste my fair share on Pinterest or Facebook, but I think some of my drive to constantly post in the past was not only to develop professionally but let’s face it, it was an ego trip.
I have a few projects that are swallowing up my time other than the wee one; namely finally unpacking and organizing my house and some volunteer opportunities. I am pushing myself to complete my house in time for a big party we are throwing at the end of next month. After that I think I’ll make some blog goals and become more regular here.
In the meantime I’m going to be finishing up building and sewing projects, decluttering and beautifying my space, even if some of my plans didn’t go down with the impact I was hoping for. I am just content with finishing things lately, not being Martha Stewart.
Once I finish the bulk of my organizing I can go back to seeking the external validation that Google analytics is so apt to provide.
